| Oscar van der Velde and I decided to chase some storms today, hoping to catch one or more waterspouts. At a large dike in lake IJsselmeer, a small shower passed and we were treated by a nice rainbow. In Egmond aan Zee, at the Northsea, showers were more active. And YES! A small funnel cloud formed at the base of this storm. It started growing a bit more. Exciting!
The shower that produced this funnel was a hailshower, producing nice hailcurtains. Even a rainbow formed over the shore. |
