April 11 2009:
The first 10 days of the month have been extremely mild on most locations in the Netherlands. High temperatures exceeded 20°C for several days, where about 11 is normal for the time of year. Also, thunderstorms have formed in the warm air-mass. Several passed my hometown yesterday, so I could enjoy the sound of thunder for the first time in many months again. Storms weren't very photogenic, but I did shot several pictures. The days ahead remain mild with an occasional shower or thunderstorm.

April 1 2009:
March 2009 turned out to be a quite sunny month which was somewhat dry and rather mild. No real extremes in both temperature and precipitation occured in the Netherlands.
April kicks of with clear blue skies and mild temperatures.
