February 13 2008:
The first week of the month showed rather unsettled conditions with temperatures near or somewhat above normal. The last week though had Springlike conditions with sunny skies and highs close to 15°C! Today it's grey with fog and low temperatures.

February 1 2008:
January 2008 was extremely mild in the Netherlands with temperatures being nearly 4 degrees above normal. It wasn't as mild as the record breaking January of last year though! Furthermore it was a wet and windy month with the near normal amount of sunshine. During the first week of the month I spotted a couple of snowflakes, but the rest of the month remained snowless!
Yesterday severe gale force winds battered parts of the Dutch shores and in the evening a couple of thundery showers formed. I saw some sheet lightning, but unfortunately it wasn't active enough for an attempt to lightning photography.
